Course Details

Emotional intelligence (EI) is best defined as the ability to identify and manage emotional information in oneself and others and to focus energy on required behaviours. Learn the principles of emotional intelligence to help assess your own abilities, and guide you to heightened awareness of managing emotions in the workplace.

This course will give the contemporary employee the tools to be emotionally intelligent in the workplace, navigating through organisational change and complex issues. The contemporary employee will demonstrate advanced problem solving skills, implement solutions and use a range of interpersonal tools to elicit desired change in the workplace.

This course is aligned to the PSPGOV516A: Develop and Use Emotional Intelligence unit of competency of Public Service Package. This means that your training will be accredited in line with the AQTF and will count towards a unit in a formal Diploma level qualification. Your qualification and/or certificate is recognised nationally. Accredited training is training that has one standard for all training, and is adopted by all organisations to achieve the same outcome. Call to discuss which qualifications include this competency. This unit is one or 6 units in the Working in Government and Management Competency Fields. For certification, participants must successfully complete workplace projects and assessments.
